Activity 98 | Then And Now

Objective: To reflect on our personal journey from being students facing financial struggles to becoming self-sufficient earners. Recognizing the growth, resilience, and lessons learned along the way, and using this awareness to appreciate our progress and inspire continued personal and professional development.

INSTRUCTIONS: BEFORE STARTING THE ACTIVITY, MAKE SURE TO READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.

1. Think back to your time as a student—those moments when money was tight, and you had to make sacrifices, be resourceful, or stay motivated despite financial hardship.

2. Now, consider your present situation—earning your own income, managing responsibilities, and making decisions independently.

3. Write a short reflection in your Virtual Professionals notebook (200–250 words) addressing the following:

  • What was the one memorable financial struggle or experience from your student days?
  • How did that experience shape your mindset or habits?
  • What has changed in you, and what have you learned from that experience?
  • How does it feel now that you are earning your own money?

4. Be open and authentic. Your story may inspire others who have been through (or are going through) similar experiences.

Do not use ChatGPT or any AI tools to generate your output. However, you may use ChatGPT to check the grammar.

Important Note: As much as possible, do this activity when you are calm, not rushed, and when your mind is clear and relaxed. Avoid doing it during busy or stressful moments to fully benefit from the experience.
