Activity 96 | Courage Rising

Objective: To recognize and understand personal fears by examining their origins and effects on thoughts, emotions, and behavior. Through self-reflection and emotional awareness, individuals can begin to confront these fears in a constructive and empowering way.

INSTRUCTIONS: BEFORE STARTING THE ACTIVITY, MAKE SURE TO READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.

In this activity, reflect on a personal fear you want to overcome. In your Virtual Professionals notebook, start by writing down your fear and describe when and how it usually happens in your life. Then, explore the root cause by journaling about your thoughts and past experiences related to this fear. Choose one fear that you are deeply afraid of—something close to a phobia.

After identifying and writing down your fear, think about specific strategies or steps you can take to confront or manage this fear, whether through gradual exposure, seeking support, or developing new coping skills. Consider whether this fear is something you believe can be fully overcome or simply managed more effectively over time. Finally, evaluate how this fear impacts your present life—does it limit your choices, cause anxiety, or shape your behavior in ways you’d like to change? Your reflection should be composed of at least 200 words.

Do not use ChatGPT or any AI tools to generate your output. However, you may use ChatGPT to check the grammar.

Important Note: As much as possible, do this activity when you are calm, not rushed, and when your mind is clear and relaxed. Avoid doing it during busy or stressful moments to fully benefit from the experience.
