Objective: Encourage the team to reflect on their deepest desires, values, and motivations—not just for personal gain, but also in terms of how their actions contribute to the greater good.
INSTRUCTIONS: BEFORE STARTING THE ACTIVITY, MAKE SURE TO READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.
Imagine you are granted three wishes—anything in the world is possible. You could wish for wealth, perfect health, peace across nations, or even the happiness of those you love most. But there’s a catch: if you choose to accept these wishes, your life will end exactly one year from the moment they are granted. Knowing this, would you still go through with it?
In your response, reflect deeply on your decision. Begin by explaining whether you would accept the wishes or not, and why. What factors influence your choice—love for others, unfinished personal goals, or fear of death. If you choose to accept the wishes, describe what your three final wishes would be. Explain what each wish is, who it benefits, and why it is worth the remainder of your life. How would you use your final year to make the most of those wishes?
If you choose not to accept the wishes, explain your reasoning just as fully. What makes your remaining life more valuable than the potential power of those wishes? Are there things you hope to accomplish, or a sense of purpose that would feel incomplete if your life ended too soon?
Ultimately, this activity is not just about hypothetical magic—it’s about values, priorities, and what we’re truly willing to sacrifice for ourselves and for others. Write your answer in your Virtual Professionals notebook and it should be composed of 200 words.
Do not use ChatGPT or any AI tools to generate your output. However, you may use ChatGPT to check the grammar.
