Activity 31 | Emotional Control

Objective: To develop the ability to respond calmly and properly when offended or when feeling uncomfortable, avoiding rush and harsh reactions.

INSTRUCTIONS: BEFORE STARTING THE ACTIVITY, MAKE SURE TO READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.

Use Loom to record yourself while reading the article aloud. You may split the reading part into as many recordings as necessary. In your Virtual Professionals notebook, describe any experience or experiences that made you feel offended or uncomfortable while working with the VP team. Share why you felt that way, how you responded to the situation, and how you interacted with the person who caused you to feel uncomfortable or upset.

Lastly, reflect on that situation and share your realizations and the lessons you’ve learned from it. Your response should be at least 200 words.

Do not use ChatGPT or any AI tools to generate your output. However, you may use ChatGPT to check the grammar.

Important Note: As much as possible, do this activity when you are calm, not rushed, and when your mind is clear and relaxed. Avoid doing it during busy or stressful moments to fully benefit from the experience.

How To Send: 

Using your VP Gmail, add the SUBJECT line: Activity 31: Emotional Control | VP Screen Name, and take a photo/s of your output and change the photo’s file name according to the sequence of the pages in your Virtual Professionals notebook. For example: Activity 31 (1), Activity 31 (2). Send it to info.virtualprofessionals@gmail.com and CC michelle.virtualprofessionals@gmail.com along with the Loom recording link/s. 

Before sending the Loom recording, make sure to update the title of your recording. The file name should match the subject line of your email. If you have multiple recordings, include a number to indicate the sequence.
