Activity 30 | Getting Social 

Objective: To raise awareness of both the positive and negative aspects of social media use, fostering healthier online habits and promoting a balanced, mindful approach to social engagement.

VP Article: 9 Call-To-Action For Your Blog Post

INSTRUCTIONS: BEFORE STARTING THE ACTIVITY, MAKE SURE TO READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.

Use Loom to record yourself while reading the article aloud. You may split the reading part into as many recordings as necessary. In your Virtual Professionals notebook, write about how social media has influenced your life in both positive and negative ways. Discuss how it has helped you stay connected with others, learn new skills, or find work opportunities. Also, mention the negative aspects, for example, distractions, exposure to negativities, or addiction, and how these factors affect your daily life and work. Share your experience in a write-up that contains a minimum of 200 words.

Do not use ChatGPT or any AI tools to generate your output. However, you may use ChatGPT to check the grammar.

Important Note: As much as possible, do this activity when you are calm, not rushed, and when your mind is clear and relaxed. Avoid doing it during busy or stressful moments to fully benefit from the experience.

How To Send: 

Using your VP Gmail, add the SUBJECT line: Activity 30: Getting Social | VP Screen Name, and take a photo/s of your output and change the photo’s file name according to the sequence of the pages in your Virtual Professionals notebook. For example: Activity 30 (1), Activity 30 (2). Send it to info.virtualprofessionals@gmail.com and CC michelle.virtualprofessionals@gmail.com along with the Loom recording link/s. 

Before sending the Loom recording, make sure to update the title of your recording. The file name should match the subject line of your email. If you have multiple recordings, include a number to indicate the sequence.
