Activity 3 | Remote Myths

Objective: To correct common misconceptions about working from home, promoting a deeper understanding of its realities to support personal development, enhance professional growth, and encourage a more balanced and productive remote work lifestyle.

INSTRUCTIONS: BEFORE STARTING THE ACTIVITY, MAKE SURE TO READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.

Use Loom to record yourself while reading the article aloud. You may split the reading part into as many recordings as necessary. Reflect on your journey and revisit the early days—those moments when you were still dreaming of becoming a virtual assistant.

In your Virtual Professionals notebook, write down all the doubts and fears that once filled your mind. What were the thoughts that held you back from becoming a virtual assistant? What were you uncertain about?

After writing them down, what realizations did you have after becoming a virtual assistant at Virtual Professionals? Do you still think the same way as you did before? Were your doubts and fears eventually cleared, or did some of them transform into new lessons and motivations along the way? Your output should be composed of at least 200 words.

Using your VP Gmail, add the SUBJECT line: Activity 3: Remote Myths | VP Screen Name, and take a photo/s of your output and change the photo’s file name according to the sequence of the pages in your Virtual Professionals notebook. For example: Activity 3 (1), Activity 3 (2). Send it to info.virtualprofessionals@gmail.com and CC michelle.virtualprofessionals@gmail.com along with the Loom recording link/s. 

Before sending the Loom recording, make sure to update the title of your recording. The file name should match the subject line of your email. If you have multiple recordings, include a number to indicate the sequence.
